Following the devastating Palisades Fire, residents, business owners, and local volunteer leaders have worked tirelessly to support recovery efforts, rebuild neighborhoods, and advocate for the future of one of Los Angeles' most beloved coastal communities.
Last week, our very own longtime Pacific Palisades resident and Pacific Palisades Community Council President Sue Kohl was recognized by Councilwoman Traci Park and the Los Angeles City Council for her leadership and service during this unprecedented period of recovery.
The recognition highlighted Sue's commitment to helping residents navigate the complex rebuilding process following the fire and her dedication to ensuring that the voices of Pacific Palisades homeowners, business owners, and families were heard throughout the recovery efforts.
Leadership During a Critical Time for Pacific Palisades
The Palisades Fire changed the lives of thousands of residents. Families were displaced, homes were lost, and many members of the community faced difficult questions about rebuilding, insurance, permitting, and the future of the neighborhood.
Throughout this challenging period, the Pacific Palisades Community Council became an important source of information and advocacy. As President, Sue worked closely with local, City and State officials, community organizations, and residents to help connect people with resources and provide updates on recovery initiatives affecting the community.
