We are so excited to be able to celebrate another 4th of July in Pacific Palisades! If you're up for it, get the day off to an early start by participating in the Palisades Will Rogers 5K & 10K run. Both races start at 8:15am sharp at the Palisades Rec Center and the route takes you through the Huntington neighborhood and up through Will Rogers State Park. The Kids Run for 10 and under begins at 9:30am and is a flat, half-mile loop with balloon animals at the finish line. You can visit the event website to register today.
Debuting in 1948, 2022 marks the 74th year of the Pacific Palisades Parade. The parade starts at 2pm on the 4th and runs from Via de la Paz down Sunset Blvd through the business district to Toyopa. The event includes skydivers, Condor Squadron airplanes flyover (this will take place at 3pm), Kids on Bikes, Patriotic Pups, Palisades performing groups, and more. Make sure you get there early to get a front row seat!
If you want to come early and join other family and friends at the 4th Of July Block Party hosted by the Palisades Village it starts at 11am. The event will include live music, offerings from the local restaurants and stores, crafting for kids, face painting, balloon art and more. It is open to the public until 2pm when the parade starts.
If you feel like continuing the celebration, tickets are available for the annual music and fireworks show at Palisades Charter High School. The event starts at 6pm with music by Lee Dyson of Hey Mister DJ. There will be food trucks in the parking lot and you can bring your own blankets and cushions to watch the fireworks comfortably from the football field. The fireworks show starts promptly at 9pm and tickets are required for all attendees. You can click here to purchase yours and learn more about the event.
